Customer Service The Right Way – The Muse Coffee Co.

I admit it, I am a coffee lover.  Due to this long-term relationship with the coffee bean, I frequent coffee shops in my travels to see how they operate and, how they brew their coffee and how they treat customers.

In the Wyndhurst shopping district in Lynchburg, VA, there is a shop called The Muse Coffee Company. They offer in house roasting and the belief that the cup of coffee should be how the customer likes it, not how they intend to brew it.  This philosophy easily sets them apart from their big name competition.  However, this post is my way of spotlighting their customer service; all driven by Brian Wynn, the owner.I recently visited The Muse for an afternoon cup of coffee before my next meeting.  It had been a few months since my last visit, but I expected to see Brian on my visit; what I didn’t expect was that he would remember me…by name!  I was amazed when Brian came by my table and called me by name; especially since it had been at least three month since my last visit and he sees hundreds of people daily! In addition to Brian’s ability to recall my name; I observed that his entire staff is focused on customer service.  From pleasantly greeting customers, many of them by name, to coming around to the tables asking if they needed a refill, the focus is entirely on customer service.Kudos to Brian and the staff at The Muse Coffee Company.  If you live locally, stop by their location in Wyndhurst.  If not, then check out their website and order some coffee!  These are the companies that drive our economy and we should support them!See you soon Brian! The Muse Coffee Company1509 Enterprise DriveLynchburg, VA 24502Facebook Fan Page – The Muse Coffee & Roastery

  1. Brian and his staff at The Muse Coffee Company really do understand that customer service is very important. A lot of big companies should watch them and learn. This is customer services done that right way. Hats off to them.

  2. Why is it other businesses, big or small, will not adopt this type of attitude towards customer service? Is it because they see customers as Losers? Good to see someone taking customer service to a high level.
