Things I Can’t Live Without

Inspired by my good friend Rob Cairns, @RobCairns on Twitter; I am putting out my list of three things I Can’t Live Without. As Rob mentioned in his post, this is an updated version of what you would take on a desert island if you had the choice.

1. My iPhone – It is my connection to the world through social media as well as the applications I use to update my websites, blog, calendar, etc. It truly is a mini computer that also contains my music and videos.

2. My MacBook Pro – If you haven’t guessed by now, I am a Mac person, and the MB Pro is my tool of choice for computing for a multitude of reasons. Ease of use, portable, and oh yeah, it just works.
3. My sunglasses – you can never be too careful with your eyes! There are too many beautiful sites and people in the world and I do not want to take the chance of damaging my peepers :-)

As you will notice, there is no big screen TV or the creature comforts of home. Why? It’s simple, with my iPhone, my MB Pro and my shades, I can be comfortable most anywhere and I have the ability to work, communicate and be entertained.

What about you?

  1. You took the words right out of my mouth John. My iPhone is permanently attached to my hand and I rarely leave home for any extended period of time without my MacBook Pro. I pre-ordered an iPad so that maybe an item to add to my list. I also agree about sunglasses. All those cool gadgets aren’t any good without your eyesight. Great post!
